Award Presentation and Fireside Chat

Georgia Tech will host an award presentation followed by a fireside chat. The entire campus community is invited to attend. 
Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.

Guests must register for ticket with the Ferst Center to attend the event.

This is a general admission event. Seating is available on a first come, first-served basis.

Global Breakfast Bites

Arrive early to enjoy breakfast bites in the Ferst Center galleries while exploring exhibits on World Central Kitchen’s global impact and the history of the Ivan Allen Jr. Prize.

Parking

Paid parking is available in Georgia Tech Visitor Area 2 and Visitor Area 3.

Arriving at Ferst

Building doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Theater doors will open for seating at 7:45 a.m. Accessible seating is available upon request at the venue.

Join us for an open discussion between faculty, students, and practitioners to examine ideas in José Andrés' book Change the Recipe, linking scholarship, lived experience, and public impact. Moderated by David Edwards, this panel explore themes related to this year's Ivan Allen Jr. Prize for Social Courage.

Volunteer with Klemis Kitchen

Limited spots are available to assist with preparing meals on March 10 and 11. 

Participants will receive priority seating at the award presentation event on March 16.

 

About Klemis Kitchen

Klemis Kitchen is Georgia Tech’s on-campus food bank. The goal of Klemis Kitchen is to make sure students are never forced to skip a meal, while simultaneously reducing food waste on campus.

Open Hand is a nonprofit in Atlanta that prepares and delivers medically tailored, dietitian-approved meals and provides nutrition education to help people with chronic illness, disability, or other barriers to healthy eating stay nourished and improve their health.
